Microbiology - Main
The Microbiology main window comprises two columns. The left column displays a tab for each of the three sub-modules:

Lists common laboratory tests and phenotypic characteristics. The tests are divided into three categories: Basic, General, and Fermentation.

Lists common laboratory tests and phenotypic characteristics.
Each sub-module has its own set of common laboratory tests and phenotypic characteristics.
An information window displays under the three tabs. This window displays a description of each of the above tests as the cursor moves over it.
The column on the right comprises three sections:

Lists the selected tests and phenotypic characteristics.
- The buttons on the right side of the Phenotype Review window:

Save case. -
Open case. -
Removes a selected phenotype from consideration.

Eliminates all selected phenotypes from consideration.

Opens the Identification Results
window.

Opens the Characterize
window.

Enter personal comments that will be retained as part of that module’s record. The notes can be modified or deleted. In addition, they appear in the report, if one is generated.
In order to take advantage of all the features of the Microbiology module, you must use the Identify and Characterize windows as part of the identification process.
