Microbiology - Identification Results
is used to filter the lists of taxa based upon the
reactions and phenotypic characteristics you selected from the lists in one of
the sub-modules. This action works best when a large number of reactions are
indicated.
The Identification Results window opens when you select the Identify button. The window comprises of columns and buttons:
- Compare checkboxes: Check boxes next to the listed pathogen to make a comparison of taxa.
- Pathogen - Lists all of the taxa pertinent to that sub-module that GIDEON determines meet the selected criteria.

the cases where data regarding a given reaction selected by the user are not
available for a listed organism. Click on Pathogen heading to sort disease
list alphabetically.
- Probability - Displays the probability based on the relative occurrence of individual species in clinical laboratories, as well as the frequency of positivity for each of the reactions chosen. Click on Probability heading to sort disease list by probability.
The buttons are:
Opens Microbiology Compare.
Opens Microbiology Why Not.
Clears all checked boxes in the Compare column.
Selects all taxa for comparison purposes.
Prints the Identification Results.
Emails the Identification Results.
Closes the Identification Results window.
